Xiaomi Aims to Strengthen Cooperation with Africa in Emerging Fields, Says Xiaomi CEO
TMTPOST-- Lei Jun, founder, chairman, and CEO of Xiaomi Group, said that under a series of China-Africa cooperation initiatives, Xiaomi has already expanded its business into 16 African countries, including Egypt, South Africa, Nigeria, Morocco, Algeria, and Kenya.
Lei made the remarks at the 8th China-Africa Entrepreneurs Conference, an important side event of the 2024 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation Summit, in Beijing on Friday.
Lei said that the next step will involve increasing investment across the African continent. He also expressed Xiaomi's hope to strengthen collaboration with African enterprises in emerging industries, particularly in the field of new energy vehicles.
