New Dutch Regulations Require ASML to Apply for Export Licenses from the Dutch Government
TMTPOST--The Dutch government announced new export control regulations on Friday, requiring ASML to apply for export licenses for certain machines from The Hague (the capital of South Holland in the Netherlands) instead of the U.S. government. The new regulations will take effect on September 7, 2024.
ASML spokesperson Monique Mools stated, "Due to the new requirements, ASML will need to apply for export licenses from the Dutch government rather than the U.S. government for the export of the TWINSCAN NXT:1970i and 1980i lithography machines. We expect that the new regulations will not affect our financial outlook for 2024 or the long-term prospects communicated during our Investor Day in November 2022."
