TMTPOST--A South Korean executive, previously accused of stealing semiconductor technology from Samsung Electronics, has been detained again due to new allegations related to the theft of chip processing technology, Reuters reported, citing a court official and his lawyer on Friday. The Seoul Central District Court issued a detention warrant for Choi Jinseog on Thursday, citing concerns that he might flee. Choi, a former Samsung executive who previously operated a chipmaking venture in China, has already faced a high-profile industrial espionage trial since July 2023. He was arrested and subsequently released on bail last November and has denied the earlier charges.
